The Karkloof Classic Mountain Bike Festival is back for its second year and the Mr. Price sponsored Festival is already the biggest Mountain Bike Event in South Afric a . This year it is even better offering riders true value for money.

This year’s courses are exhilarating and even more challenging than the previous year’s and designed by our professional course designers. The programme has been revised and a new 20 kilometer ride has been added – all in one of the best settings in South Africa. The courses are designed within the picturesque Karkloof Valley just outside Howick in Kwazulu-Natal, and offer riders three days of awesome riding, lots of entertainment, exciting goodie bags and a unique country experience.

The 2009 Karkloof Classic Mountain Bike Festival Courses

Mr Price – This is the big one! An enduring mountain bike marathon of 75 kilometers.
Global Trader – If you have never experienced the adrenalin rush of riding in the night, this is your chance. The Global Trader is a 20 kilometer night race.
Cross Country Race
Red – The cycle sprint shoot-out.
Aquelle – If you’re not quite ready for the full Monty, 75 kilometer marathon, enroll for the half marathon which is only 40 kilometers long.
Aquelle – This is an all family event and a great way to build family ties again. The Aquelle Family Marathon is only 19 kilometers, making it ideal for anyone, young or old.
Family Run Ride – This is literally a fun ride as it is only 10 kilometer long.

Remember that it is the early bird that catches the worm so enter early, as all the race entries are limited except the 20 kilometer night race.
