During the end of 2009, Durban was announced as the host city for the 2010 SA Open Golf Championship. 2010 marks the 100 th SA Golf Open and the event will take place at the Durban Country Club from 16 – 19 December.

This is the 16 th time that the SA Open Golf Championship will be held at the Durban Country Club. The golf course at the Durban Country Club is over six thousand metres long and it is widely known as one of the best courses in South Africa. The third hole on the golf course has been rated as the best third in the world and golf players will have to hit their first shot from the highest point on the course.
