    The waves at Umhlanga Rocks are of the beach-break type, very powerful and moves both in a right and left direction with the bottom of the wave being of sandy and rocky nature. On a normal day the wave length is anything between 50 and 150 m reaching up to 300 m on a good day.
  • Tide, swell and wind
    • Swell direction: East
    • Wind direction: West
    • Swell size: The waves start working at less than 1 m and hold up to 4 m.
